Phenytoin For Seizures What Are The Possible Affects Of Reducing Phenytoin?

What are the possible affects of reducing Phenytoin? - phenytoin for seizures

I took 275mg of phenytoin for 22 years. Since I started lamotragine beside her, my seizures have fallen considerably, and the neurologist wants me completely of phenytoin. Be reduced to 25 mg per week. What side effects can see for myself - and I'm more anxious, nervous and irritable for a while?

I switched from Dilantin (phenytoin) for Lamictal (lamotragine) 5 years ago, the time for change, the reduction of phenytoin and ramps Lamictal. I can not remember when changing effects. In hindsight, I am much more aware he was taking Dilantin, I felt "weird" if I miss a dose, or it is late. I have none of it with Lamictal. I still have an attack in 7 years. I went to get blood work for change so that they can keep track of the levels in my system. Not a bad idea to also observe how you feel at home.

ok.you if they slow a bit nervous at first, because they are afraid that you start, more of what he adapted. Do not worry if this happens just go back to your doc and tell him. Good luck
